After two self-released efforts (a 7" and 4-song EP) and a nationwide US tour with Secret Machines and Interpol, Philadelphia's Hail Social released its debut, self-titled album in 2005.

Recorded by Brian McTear (mpPA's The Green Fury and The Nature of Maps), Hail Social'sdance-infused melodies contain just the right blend of rock, pop and post-punk.

Vocalist/guitarist Dayve Hawk now records music under the name Memory Tapes.

The steady-pulsing verses climb to cliff-top peaks, then the soaring choruses hang-glide over the edge, and the end result is remarkably fresh-sounding.

Philly City Paper

Boasts quite a rhythm section that keeps the songs upbeat.
